Fudge are the proud sponsors of this Summer's London Collections Men showcasing Spring/Summer 2014. With plenty going on both on stage and throughout the multitude of venues around the city, they're a hair brand ticking all the right boxes.
Today, Monday, is the first day I spent working closely along-side the brand, blogging, tweeting and snapping both backstage and out front.
Before I get onto styles and looks, it is really important to highlight that when I say “sponsor”, I don't mean there are one or two products laid out on the hair stylist's stations laced between other professional brands; I mean that their hair products are being used exclusively. I never expected so much proven performance from Fudge styling!
The first show was Sibling; styled around West Side Story with slick-back quiffs (enhanced with fringe extensions) then tightly corseted at the back in what I was told by the style director Sid Hayes, is called a “Duck's Arse”; it really does look like one and never mind how I did my research.
The products for Sibling by Sid Hayes were Pump-Up mousse; Hair Gum to create a slick-back, grease effect and then Skyscraper hair spray to give a solid, impenetrable and unmoving hold. I too had been styled with a similar look that morning but with a matte finished; Skyscraper really does give other sprays a run for their money.
Next was Katie Eary's Flamingo inspired Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Now I can't continue without mentioning my celebrity moment. I'm sat second row with Fudge, minding my own business when a guy gets up in front, turns to the side and I immediately clock “it's Reggie Yates!”. Quite content with this experience, I carry on setting up my camera and faffing around. Reggie (first name terms, obviously) starts talking to a guy sat right next to me who I'd not noticed as it was dark and I was very preoccupied. The guy stands up and who's been sat next to me the whole time but Tinie Tempah! Then if that wasn't enough, as the two were taking, casual as you like, David Gandy strolls up and sits right in front of me. My knee was 30cm away from his back, which by my standards means that we're now best friends for life. Needless to say, I hopped over and all three kindly indulged me by posing for a photo.
Anyway. I loved The Katie Eary collection and whereas I wouldn't with Sibling, I'd happily wear most of the outfits as they were. Acid pinks, whites, reds and flashes or orange – stunning.
The hair looks came from the mind of Ben Jones and were inspired by the novel Marabou Stork Nights. The concept was a dessert army battalion taking shelter at a rave.
Whereas I'd love to see the hair looks from Sibling ‘as is', Ben Jones's looks would need adapting a little before I'd be happy seeing them on the street; however for the show, they couldn't have been more on point.
Centre-parted, smoothed curtains were blow-dried through with Fudge Hair Gum and Fudge Hir Varnish to give the ultimate slicked down look. This was brushed through to give a combed texture. Tom Gilling [right], award winning stylist, is pictured above with Reece Bullman [left] creating this look. Tom did my hair that morning and actually does my hair regularly; you may recognise him from my Instagram photos.
Great collections and some incredible work coming from not only the Fudge team, but the Fudge products themselves. As well as the back stage work, Fudge also have a few pop-up salons “The Fudge Fix” throughout the venues for press, visitors and the odd model to get a fab cut with full-length appointments and gorgeous styling.

What if I were to tell you that Bionova Acne Treatment + After Shaving is the best at home, skincare acne treatment I've ever come across? Well it is, and I can assure you that my recommendation is completely unbiased. But with any wonder-product, there's always a catch, right?
Unfortunately there is a catch. It honks. It is the smelliest product I've endured. I keep lying to myself thinking “Oh Thom, it can't be that bad!” then re-opening the pot only to be blasted with it again. It's an ultra-medicated scent that's very difficult to get used to. However, the scent doesn't last once on the skin; I assure you.
The reason I'm particularly buzzed about this is that last week you may have read about my visit to Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar where I underwent a HydraFacial with Glysal Peel treatment. As the therapist promised, 3 days later I broke out. Big style. Everything seemed to come to the surface and it wasn't pretty.
I promise you that in less than 48 hours, after using the Bionova Acne Treatment + After Shaving treatment only 4 times, they had completely disappeared. I mean scarily so, without a trace.
Bionova Acne Treatment + After Shaving is loaded with glycosoaminoglycans, a molecule our body produces that retains moisture in the skin; UV chromophores absorb and disperse harmful UV rays from the sun; powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients to calm and sooth the skin; moisture barrier building, high density lipoproteins, designed to protect the skin without blocking pores; finally bacteriostatic and keratolitic agents increase skin cell turnover and kill excess p.Acne bacteria.
Using it is simple. Make sure you don't put your fingers directly in the pot, to avoid contamination, as they've used minimal preservatives in its production. Instead, use the provided spatula and take out the tiniest amount. With the skin still slightly damp from washing, apply it all over the face, patting it gentle into the skin and avoiding the eye area. If you've just shaved, pat it over the freshly groomed area and leave it to sink in. I always get at least one little bump from shaving but with this, nothing.
Bionova Acne Treatment + After Shaving really has to be tried and smelt to be believed. Anyone with concerns of shaving rash, blemishes and irritation really needs to give this a try. The only stockist in the UK is the fabulous online store, Mensphere, who were kind enough to send me this to try out. You can find it here for

This isn't just your regular daily use serum, oh no, it's a powerful , 21 day, skin transforming treatment that unquestionably brightens dull and lifeless skin. Filorga are purveyors of very high-end cosmeceuticals and this is no exception. If you're truly looking for something to boost your daily groomingn and beauty regime, then Filorga Meso C is definitely worth a look in.
How does it brighten? 8% concentrated Vitamin C brightens the skin by firstly working as a chemical exfoliant, breaking down layers of surface dead skin, but also breaking down surface pigmentation. Vitamin C is also linked with collagen production to help boost the skin's natural firmness.
The Filorga Meso C serum then utilises ‘Chronospheres' that encapsulate and slowly release active ingredients into the skin throughout the day; this prevents the skin being instantly and totally overwhelmed, in the same way you would take maybe four antibiotics throughout the day rather than all at once in the morning.
The vitamin C concentration in Filorga Meso C also acts as a hugely powerful anti-oxidant, helping to defend the skin from free-radical, cellular damage. This is vital in keeping skin healthy and preventing later damage.
In the box there's 3 bottles of serum and 1 droplet applicator. Each bottle-lid houses a powdered concentration of vitamin C which when released through firmly pressing on the button, activates the serum. When you've released the powder, remove the lid, throw it away, and screw on the dropper applicator.
Once activated, each bottle will only last for 7 days as by then, the Vitamin C will have become inert. You must store this in the fridge and always give it a good shake before applying. Apply a few drops to your finger ends and gently massage into the whole face. I'd normally avoid the eye area, but with this, I've gently patted it around for good measure as the serum is very lightweight and shouldn't congest the skin.
After the first week, I honestly couldn't tell any difference and almost didn't bother, but I persevered. At the end of the second week, there was a noticeable difference in the evenness of the colour of my skin tone. It wasn't until the end of the third week that I saw the real differences; any blotchiness in my skin, blemishes, you name it, had all disappeared and my skin looked like porcelain. The effect has lasted quite while as long as I keep up to my daily skincare regime.
Make sure that throughout the use of this serum you use a high SPF every day. You should use SPF every day but as this is exfoliating the skin on a very powerful level, skin imevetably becomes more sensitive and will discolour more easily, totally defeating the object of you using this fabulously powerful serum.
Filorga Meso C is available for £61, here at Marks & Spencer. You only need to use something like this once every 6 months and for what you get plus the results you will achieve, it's a fantastic price. Have you used Filorga products before? If so, drop me a comment with your Filorga and skin brightening favourites.

Whilst hayfever isn't strictly grooming related, it's something that will effect many of you as it does me. Over last 6 years, I've lived with the most terrible hayfever that often leaves me practically paralized with inflamed sinuses, massive susceptibility to respiratory infections and totally unable to do anything; so much so I take a prescription antihistamine called Fexofenadine, it's incredible, but leaves you barely conscious.
I've never paid much credence to homeopathic remedies, I think much of it is a load of old crap, but this, the Weleda Hayfever Kit, really caught my attention as I'm a fan of the brand. With a nose spray and pollen tablets for around £12, is it worth it?
Pollen capsules are actually excellent and I've taken them before. They immunise your body by flooding it with pollen, causing your body to become less responsive to it; this is known as a form of immunotherapy. The problem is, these capsules actually need to be taken leading up the hayfever season rather than during it, so they're preventative rather than a cure. Pollen capsules should be taken as two/three every two hours.
Rhinodoron, the Weleda Hayfever Kit's nasal spray, is fabulous in dealing with the side-effects of hayfever by hydrating and calming the lining of the nasal passages with a 5% aloe vera gel. Sodium Chloride (5%) and Potassium Chloride (5%) cleanse the passage lining, helping to dislodge trapped pollen. As well as for hayfever, Rhinodoron can be used in the winter when the air is deathly dry which can again lead to sore throats and scratchiness. This product is not a treatment or nasal antihistamine.
What else can you do for hayfever? Buy yourself a HEPA filter. I have one by Vicks (the vapour rub people) and from 6pm every evening, I leave it on in my bedroom with the window and door closed. When it's time to go to bed, the air is cleansed of pollen and you will notice that you sleep so much better. I've not seen the Vicks filter in a while, but John Lewis have the Bionaire HEPA filter at just £50 that's had some really good feedback.
Secondly, I've been using and getting great results from a portable red-light allergy reliever which is weird, but it really works. I picked mine up here from Argos for £20. Finally, local honey; this has been proven to deliver effective immunotherapy as it's made of all your local pollen strains.

I usually disregard most grooming and beauty products labelled ‘sport' but this new collection from Molton Brown London really pricked my attention, plus in testing it's a trio of excellent products. The Molton Brown Sport range has only 3 products but they've been designed in mind for the on-the-go, sporty gentleman with a muscle relief gel, a trillion-in-one cleanser and a deodorant stick.
If you've used the Cassia collection from Molton Brown, you'll recognise the same fragrance as a blend of cassia bark with nutmeg and lime. It's quintessentially Molton Brown and I absolutely love it.
Now, I'm not hugely happy with the advertising for the range that features the English Rugby star, Ugo Monye; a man so muscular and veiny he looks like he's about to burst at any moment (ok so maybe I'm a little envious). However, it simply doesn't tow the line of the Molton Brown brand, using mass-market tactics to promote what's essentially a luxury line. Anyway.
The trillion-in-one cleanser is actually a 4-in-1 and even though I love it, I'd only ever recommend it as a body wash… for hair at an absolute push. It also says it's good as a shaving foam and face wash as they've clearly tried to create one, universal product that you can throw in your gym bag; a great idea, but never good in practice. It's loaded with plenty (delicious) fragrance and is bright blue; do not put this on your face. Especially when used with a shower scrunchy (those balls, also called lilies) you get more foam than is safe, it's incredible. With only the smallest amount you feel crisply clean, fabulously fresh and citrus scented. I suppose it's not beyond the realms of possibility to use this as a shaving foam, but I just wouldn't, particularly if you're prone to sensitivity and other skin concerns. But as a body wash, absolutely gorgeous.
I love the ‘Sportsbalm' but I have to be honest, I didn't get a warming sensation at all and I tried it absolutely everywhere (except there). It's both very rich and ultra-absorbant at the same time which is very rare in a body moisturiser. With shea butter and macadamia nut oil, it hydrates the skin without leaving it feeling at all greasy or layered with product. I have been using this after every post-exercise shower and it's the perfect companion.
I used to use deodorant sticks religiously, being a big fan of the Kiehl’s Cross Terrain Deodorant, but over the last year, I've fallen back in love with sprays. The Molton Brown Sport ‘Sportstick' however has really swayed me back to sticks.
Now if you're prone to a good sweat, there's no way this will last for the claimed 24-hours; maybe if you just stood there and didn't move? But it definitely has been keeping me fresh and dry throughout the day, even in this hot spell of weather we've been having. With Andiroba oil, skin is also left soft and calm. Do you want my best tip for fresh underarms? Trim your hair. Underarm hair is the biggest contributor to ‘body fragrance issues' and keeping it tight and short will make a big difference.
If you're looking for a gym-bag range, then you've definitely found it. Not only does the packaging look gorgeous when you pull it out in the locker room (always important) it's in easy to handle packaging with really firm lids and just makes for a more luxury shower experience. You can pick the range up direct from Molton Brown here, go have a look and I promise you, these three will last an absolute age.

Based in Glasgow, The Executive Shaving Company is one of the largest shaving and grooming suppliers in Europe, stocking thousands of brilliant quality shaving, grooming and waxing products for men. There's something for every budget and I was excited to try a safety razor for the first time, along with a traditional shaving foam and badger hair shaving brush.
The Mühle Closed Comb Safety Razor, launched back in 2010, is German engineered and has an excellent weight and feel to it. It's safer than most other safety razors as the blade is less exposed, but you still get an extremely close shave. I feel that the key to using a safety razor is to take it very slow and continually rinse. I think the shave with this is definitely better than with a disposable/cartridge razor.
Now I always used to be against the use of badger hair in shaving brushes, but since the government has authorised the culling of 5,000 badgers, I'm not so much on the moral high ground with this one anymore. In fact, I have never used an artificial shaving brush that's as good as badger hair; I really don't think they exist. The Super Badger Hair Shaving Brush from The Executive Shaving Company does not lose hairs and it keeps plump, luscious and firm. Run it under a little warm water, dip into your pot of shaving cream, then start to mix in the shaving pot lid. When applying to the skin, use firm circular motions, as this softens the hair and gently exfoliates the skin, proving for a very smooth surface.
Taylor of Old Bond Street Grapefruit Shaving Cream is something really luxurious with an insane citrus scent. It's just under £9 for a great big tub, but it feels as good as any of the roaringly expensive shaving foams, creams and gels I've used in the past. It really must be used with a shaving brush, but to be honest, any gel or cream would highly benefit from the use of a brush.
If you're tired of your shaving regime and really want to explore the world of traditional, luxury shaving, then definitely give The Executive Shaving Company a look in; you can check them out here. Let me know if you have any tips or favourites for traditional shaving?

What do you do with fine hair? So many guys look at the way they style it before looking at the way they treat it. One of the most common things I see walking down the street is balding men with the driest looking hair I've ever seen. Dry, damaged and malnourished hair is a enormous factor in hair loss and a mistake so many of us seem to make. So, Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo and Conditioner to the rescue?
Ojon to the rescue. Ojon have been going since the nineties and were taken into Estée Lauder Companies back in 2007. The brand revolves around the use of Ojon oil, an oil extract from the South American palm tree. The oil is precious and the Miskito Indians who farm it are colloquially known known as “Tawira” – “the tribe of beautiful hair”. Ojon create haircare without nasties and silicones (very bad in haircare) whilst delivering great results.
Don't be worried of me throwing around the word oil, this hair care range is designed for all hair types and I guarantee that it doesn't leave your hair in the slightest bit oily and greasy, far from it. The range undoubtedly packs volume; Peruvian Amaranth deeply cleanses away dirt whilst a blend of castor seed oil, lavender, babassu, spearmint, vanilla, lemon, sesame, clary and eucalyptus, gently cleanse the scalp and leave hair thick.
I've been using it for around a month and noticed that as well as leaving my hair immediately thicker, it has left it thicker over time. For instance if I grab a shampoo and conditioner from the cupboard when I'm in a rush (I still condition, even in a rush and you should too!) my hair still feels thick afterwards, thicker than it did before using Ojon Volume Advance.
The shampoo is very light and foams magically; the conditioner feels thick but when rinsed away, is very lightweight. Fine hair feels noticeably thicker and you can see this when it comes to styling. You need only the tiniest amount of each and after a month, both bottles are about a third used. I sometimes use a little more when I've gone overboard with mousse, pomade, clay and hairspray, so tend to double cleanse to be safe.
There are a vast number of thickening products out there but I can't emphasise enough the use of a good quality shampoo and conditioner that doesn't totally rely on the use of synthetic ingredients and temporary thickening agents. It's never too late to get your hair care sorted but you're playing with fire if you continue to use poor products and/or don't use conditioner (also 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioners are never really a good idea; it's either one or the other).
Do you have any hair thickening favourites? Have you used Ojon products before and if so, are there any you'd recommend? Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo and Conditioner are available at £37.50 for the duo, here at John Lewis.

Yesterday I spent the entire day in Liverpool at the new Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar. This is the destination for everything beauty and grooming related, with every imaginable service on offer from hairstyling to skincare and tanning to Botox. If you want to immerse yourself in a day of luxury and pampering, you're in the right place.
Beauty Bazaar isn't just a name, it's a perfect description of the entire store environment with something unique, striking and interesting everywhere you look. Every attention to detail has been made with mirrors everywhere you could want them and striking accents that tow the line of the Harvey Nichols brand. The store feels very open, despite being so concentrated with luxury brands and products.
Because it's not a department store, there seems to be less need for staff to try and maniacally drive sales from through-traffic as people would usually cross from one department to the next; if you're here, you're here for beauty, therefore the environment is much calmer with no whiff of sales desperation in the air.
All the staff look amazing and really showcase their talents. Not only do the staff look great but it seems Harvey Nichols have handpicked the best experts as everyone I spoke to were both knowledgable and passionate about their respective brands.
The two sections that really caught my eye were the Beauty Mart and a full-blown, king-sized Beyond Beauty. Beyond Beauty is a concession available in most of the Harvey Nichols stores, featuring many of the brands you'd only be able to find in Space.NK or online with the likes of Dr. Huschka, REN and Clarisonic et al. The Beauty Mart, as well as featuring hard-to-find and unusual brands, has products for every price point, from Vaseline lip-tins on one bay to my favourite face mask of them all, Glamglow, on the next.
In the Fragrance Library, you'll find almost every fragrance you can think of. I had palpitations when I found Francis Kurkdjian, one of my favourite fragrance brands, finally being sold outside of London. You'll find select, niche brands as well as your travel and Duty Free favourites. It is worth pointing out that even though Harvey Nichols is a luxury retailer, the prices are very much inline with the likes of Boots and The Perfume Shop; no inflated price tags here.
Above the shop floor, you'll discover the Beauty Bazaar spa. With Tanning from James Read and Fake Bake, Waxing from Strip Wax and cosmeceutical treatments at Dr. Karidis' MediSpa.
Strip Wax was a brand that really caught my attention. Guys wax, well, some of us do, but I personally prefer a body shaver as what's the thing that most guys are scarred of? The pain. Strip Wax is a special wax that pulls the hair and not the skin. Not only does this reduce the pain and discomfort, but it prevents skin trauma which can often lead to ingrown hairs and waxing rash.
From a back wax to The Full Athlete, there's nowhere they won't leave soft and silky smooth. Not only that, but you can choose to be waxed in the chocolate-themed room, with chocolate wax, whilst watching Sex And The City (come on, that's every guy's guilty pleasure).
Tanning at the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar isn't just the usual ‘get in there and get going'. You'll be invited to sit down for a full consultation to discover what you want from your colour as well as determining your exact skin type. As I'm sure James Read would tell you himself, tanning is a fine art.
Onto the Dr. Karitis Medispa. Here you'll find your more technical, cosmetic treatments with both procedural and electrical from Botox to Non-Surgical Lipo in a fabulously luxurious, clinical environment. Here I was booked in for a HydraFacial with Glysal Peel (£160).
The treatment starts with a full cleanse and then straight into vacuum application of salicylic acid and glycolic acid. These chemical exfoliants are blasted onto the skin and instantly sucked away, delivering the same efficacy of microdermabrasion but without the unnecessary skin trauma. After, any areas needing manual extraction are then worked on (basically any blackheads are pulled out).
After the extractions, the skin is then coated with a layer of glysal, a composition of both glycolic and salicylic acid. This is left on the skin for around 7 minutes where you'll feel a warm tingling sensation. The mask is then neutralised and removed.
Finally, one of my favourite hydrating ingredients, hyaluronic acid, is layered onto the skin, instantly restoring lost moisture and penetrating hydration deep into the skin.
To finish, a light gel treatment, serum and then a barrier repairing moisturiser are layered onto the skin with a little SPF after that. I was expecting to look in the mirror and see a total horror-show, but no, my skin looked incredible. I can honestly say that out of all the products I have ever used, I have never seen my skin look so good. Have a look, it was and still is so fresh!
The food! After my treatment, I went for lunch at the Wow bar. Now at the moment, I'm on a health kick as I've put on a little weight, so have begun an intensive workout of weights, cardio and healthy eating. Now as a rule I pretty much hate salad but the chicken caesar I had was beyond delicious. The leaves were fresh, the chicken was cooked to perfection with delicious dressing and sliced parmesan, all accompanied with a glass of Prosecco.
I was left feeling full but not ‘bleurgh' and overindulged. The Wow bar is elegant and decadent, focusing on good drinks, light bites and clean, Harvey Nichols-esque style. You would definitely find Eddie and Patsy here on lunch.
Onto my eyebrows. Now, I have big eyebrows. They're great, big, whopping beasts that take a lot of controlling, but I hate ‘over-groomed' brows on guys, there's just something that doesn't look right about it. Therefore I was worried about having my brows threaded for the first time as I've always thought this would result in them looking ridiculous.
After 20 minutes laid back in the chair, my eyebrows had been expertly shaped whilst looking unquestionably natural. It was a little more uncomfortable than waxing, but the result both lasts longer and looks better.
Bliñk, who it's fair to say are the leaders in retail threading, offer a full menu of service, each finished with a light head neck massage. It's this level of service that despite the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar being a fair distance from where I live, will undoubtedly bring me back again and again.
It's definitely worth a trip to the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar whether you're local or not. Set in the beautiful new Liverpool One district, you're in shopping heaven. I spent around 5 hours in the store and to be honest, probably could have stayed longer. Their full list of services is available to read here and you can give them a call to arrange what I felt was an unforgettable pamper day.
For guys who are unsure of beauty, maybe wanting to take their first step, you'll honestly find no better place. At the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, you're cocooned in a house of experts who seem genuinely interested in you and not your wallet.

Off the back of the boom in people searching Manface for Creme de la Mer World Oceans Day 2013, I thought I'd share you the video just published from the brand, celebrating World Oceans Day 2013 with the timeless Yasmin Le Bon. What do you think, will you be celebrating World Oceans Day with us on the 8th June?

I love, love, love Paco Rabanne 1 Million. I initially avoided it during its first launch because it was everywhere and I find myself less attracted to beauty and grooming products that everyone knows about. My first contact with the fragrance was with the 1 Million Absolutely Gold, featuring in last year's Christmas Gift Guide. The Intense edition is very similar but more, well, intense.
With top notes of blood mandarin, cardamom, black pepper and saffron; a middle heart of rose absolute, neroli and cinnamon; all supported on a base of white leather, orris root, patchouli and sandalwood. It's a little spicy, fruity and floral all at the same time whilst retaining real masculinity.
The Paco Rabanne 1 Million Intense bottle, as always, comes in the shape of a bar of gold bullion. It feels great in the hand and being made of solid glass, it looks great when pulled out of your bag at the gym or on the go.
Even though it's lighter than the Absolutely Gold and more intense than the original, I still think this is perfectly fitting for a summer fragrance with the prominent cinnamon, leather and rose really lifting it out of its heady musk. It also lasts for a good few hours, more so than it's counterparts and there's still a definite scent left on the skin by the end of the day.
If you're a fan of the original or are enticed to start here, Paco Rabanne 1 Million Intense is available here for £34.99 from John Lewis. So, are you an existing fan of 1 Million? Are there any other Paco Rabanne favourites you'd recommend?

It's like Clinique Moisture Surge on steroids. This orange and citrus fragranced, oil-free, cream-gel moisturiser immediately penetrates tired skin, leaving it plump, irresistible to touch and glowing, seriously, glowing! With so many ‘energising' moisturisers out there, it's great to see one that “does that is says on the tin”.
Many oil-free moisturisers don't feel as nourishing and hydrating as they could; then on the flip-side, a lot of moisturisers that nourish skin, leave it shiny and congested. Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser provides the best of both worlds with no oil, leaving skin with no shine, but with a soft, hydrated feeling and a gentle, dewy glow.
With Panax Ginseng and Caffeine, it's full to bursting with vitamin c. As well as being a super antioxidant, vitamin C brightens skin as well as breaking down surface pigmentation. Other antioxidants also include Apple, green-tea.
As well as caffeine and ginseng, there's also skin soothing grapefruit oil, uplifting lemon and energising spearmint oil. You can really imagine how this smells huh? There's also cucumber, camomile and baikal skullcap working together as powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients. Now, I'm personally quite content with the moderate use of these common skincare ingredients, but it does contain both silicone and dimethicone which do have a few sensitivity question marks surrounding them; these help to smooth out the skin's appearance.
I've been using it every morning over the last week and have noticed how perfectly hydrated my skin feels throughout the day, so there's no worry of it being too light (I have combination skin). It's also perfect as an aftershave balm, helping to sooth the skin as caffeine is also an anti-inflammatory, giving another reason why this is so great for us guys.
There's no labelled SPF on this product but it does contain a small amount of Titanium Dioxide, a UVA and UVB sunscreen. There are also a few ingredients in here that help break down the bonds of surface dead skin cells, ensuring that skin looks fresher throughout the day, helping to prevent the build up of dead skin.
A great moisturiser for summer, Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser is £23 here at Boots. So, what do you think? Do you have any Origins favourites you'd recommend? If so, drop me a comment below.

I never know what to buy for him? It's so difficult. So this Father's day I thought I'd share my own gift ideas with you. I've tried to keep it traditional but eclectic with some modern takes on old favourites as well as a few things you might not have seen before. Happy shopping!
I love these socks from Happy Socks, they're funky, Swedish designed and beautifully made at only £8 per pair. Nero, from Marks & Spencer Collezione is a stunning fragrance with apple, cardamom and pepper; a very safe but beautiful variation on a more traditional fragrance.
If he really deserves a treat, then the iPad mini is the perfect summer travel companion and will keep him entertained for hours with iBooks and Angry Birds. It's obscenely lightweight and Apple's iOS interface is one of the most user-friendly out there. For the shower? My own dad is never without a trusty back brush from The Body Shop as men are particularly prone to back blemishes and this helps keep them at bay; made with natural materials and it lasts for an age!
If he's worried about going a little thin on top, Aveda Invati is a haircare system that will thicken hair, unblock hair follicles and stimulate growth; I've been using it for around 4 months now and I'm obsessed, mentioning it to everyone I know! So, will you be ready for the 6th June?
